A stress test at the age of 42?Makes sense, I’m training for a race that required me to be in perpetual motion for 16 hours. Should see if my heart is up to it.
Take off shirt and I figure they will stick electrodes to me.
NOPE
They take some gel or goo, squirt it on a cotton and rub it into my flesh...really aggressively.
Why? To make the electrods stick better.
“You don’t want them coming off in the middle of the test.” I guess not.
Electrods affixed, now I get on the tredmill?
Nope.
Now we see what your resting pulse is and what your heart looks like:
Resting Pulse is 50
Heart rate is 180/70

Dunno if that is good, but it sounds ok to me.
I get on the tred mill.
“How long should this take?”
“Until we get your heart rate up to 151” Doctor
“This could take a while. He is athletic.” Nurse
And it did.
Normally it takes 6 minutes.
6 minutes come and go, I’m at 120.
Minutes pass, incline increases.
After 10 minutes the incline is 16 and my heart rate is 161
Dunno if that is good, but it sounds ok to me.
Tredmill stop and I roll over onto the bed.
More pictures with the ultrasound
“Your heart is healthy.”
I could have told you that
